Christmas is almost here, and in celebration of this special day, AmberPanther gives a facelift to cleanRoar, and welcomes you to spread the Christmas Spirit to your site’s visitors.
cleanRoar is the popular, publicly available WordPress theme. It is focused on simplicity, versatility and cleanliness, hence the name cleanRoar.
As soon as the beauty and harmony of the fall colors disappears to give way to the winter cold and snow, we anxiously wait for Christmas to come and bring us a new breed of colors and a different kind of warmth. We wanted to spread this warmth, and following the path set by our mission statement, making the web a better place one website a time, we decided to release an upgraded version of cleanRoar to celebrate Christmas. cleanRoar was first made publicly available on October 12, 2009 and since then it had enjoyed more than 1500 downloads. Today we have released version 9.12.04, packed with more features than ever. It features a bold Christmas style. Had a question on how to minimize the red border on the left and right of this template.
I noticed in the preview there is no red, when I install it, I have about 2 inches of red on the left and the right. Any suggestions ? thanks in advance for any help
In order to change the red background you will have to edit the Christmas CSS file which is found in the directory named
cssin the cleanRoar root directory. You will have to search for thebodyselector (line 59 in v.9.12.04) and change the background color to your desired one. Alternatively you can just enable the Legacy cleanRoar styles from the theme’s options page, which does not have any red.In the upcoming release of cleanRoar there will be the option for custom CSS directly from the options page.
how do I activate the snow option and put on the social bookmarks for facebook and twitter? thanx
The snow option can be activated through the theme’s options page. You can access it by logging in to your Dashboard. The tab for the cleanRoar options should be towards the bottom of the left sidebar. The snow effect can be activated by checking the Add snow effect box in the cleanRoar Style section.
The social bookmarks can be set on the same page in the Social section. There are fields to set the URLs.
